About the Exhibition

In En Passant, Farshido Larimian explores transformation and the preservation of historical moments by integrating original documents from 1902 to 1922 into his works. These materials, reanimated through collage and transfer techniques, serve as a bridge between past and present.

Inspired by the "En Passant" chess move, Larimian’s approach reflects the necessity of seizing fleeting opportunities. His artistic process allows for limited alterations before the works reach their final state—mirroring the irreversible nature of historical events.

This exhibition invites viewers to reconsider the delicate balance between memory, material, and time.
